More about the Artist
Yoyo Lin Han’s art is characterized by vibrant colors, striking visuals, and a unique blend of Eastern and Western influences. Employing a surrealist painting technique, she seamlessly merges abstract and realistic elements to convey contemporary social values and philosophical ideas. A recurring theme in her work is the concept of "reincarnation," which explores the complexities of human nature, desires, breakthroughs, reconciliation, and the cyclical nature of life. Inspired by dreams, fashion, art history, surrealism, and philosophy, She believes that art should not be confined to a single medium or element. Her works combine diverse elements in a distinctive aesthetic form, presenting a surrealist concept of life as a journey and the meaning of existence. Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers to connect with the artist's personal experiences, reflections on humanity, and explorations of themes such as desire, self-realization, gratitude, reconciliation, and reincarnation.
Before dedicating herself full-time to art, Yoyo Lin Han was a globetrotting fashion designer and entrepreneur. Her decade-long experience in the fashion industry, spanning multiple countries and industries, deepened her understanding of human nature, family dynamics, breakthroughs, desires, reincarnation, and the essence of life. These experiences have significantly influenced her artistic practice.
"If there's one thing I want to pursue for the rest of my life, it's art. It's a field where I can continuously learn, grow, and never get tired," says Lin Han.
In 2022, following significant geopolitical events in Eastern Europe, Yoyo Lin Han relocated from Moscow to Switzerland. This period marked a profound turning point in her life, fostering a renewed commitment to peace and a deep reflection on the impact of global events on individuals and societies. Lin Han believes that history, while ever-evolving, shapes our individual journeys and that each of us plays a role in contributing to the ongoing trajectory of human development.
